Got out of my sick bed to listen to the shootout - well done to the lads on Radio Diamonds, dealt with the shootout really professionally. Disappointed with the result obviously, but fair play to WTFC, you have to do the business when it matters and they did that !! Onwards and upwards !!

Be interesting to hear peoples views after all welly have been shipping goals all season, so would. Like to hear about the performance. Slightly worried about the lack of players on the bench though

Welly were poor and they brought us down to their level. Without Botle-Chong clearing up at the back we would have won easily. Even tho we were "away" and playing a team a league above, we should have comfortably won this. Maybe Starms is'nt bothered about he cup with the lack of resources on the bench, but things must improve as thats four games without a win now!ron manager wrote:Be interesting to hear peoples views after all welly have been shipping goals all season, so would. Nothing to worry about Ron, take a chill pill.
The ref basically won them the match, we had a perfectly good goal disallowed, and should have had a pen, you would have thought that WTFC had won the World Cup at the end, about 538 there I heard.

Definitely the worst officials we've had this season, like you said he basically won them the game. :roll:Duke of Wimbourne wrote:ron manager wrote:Be interesting to hear peoples views after all welly have been shipping goals all season, so would. Obviously disappointed to lose, but it means one less cup competition to take priority over the league.
Positives were that we performed much better than last Saturday, and on another day and if we'd had a decent ref, we would have won that game in normal time.
Oh and Whitworths lost 4-1 to Eynesbury!!

Starms said in his interview that Joe Merril is away at a family event and Peter advised that he wouldn't be coming today at 1.45.
