Ahh, so that's how they've got around avoiding being docked points. The Southern League need to get tough, I'd understand not getting docked for one postponed game, but how many is it now 5 in a row?Sara Pascoe wrote:They've not actually failed to fulfil a fixture yet. Every one of the games have been postponed. If they do pull through then I doubt the SL will give another points deduction, it would be like punching a decaying corpse. Would be ****ing hilarious though!

But the games have been postponed because they have been unable to fulfil them.
Its safe to say the Southern League are the classic group of "old farts" who wouldn't know their arse from their elbow.

Re: Desperate measures.....
By all accounts the meeting was well attended  (around 40, 20 more than the last AGM), I think two resigned, but as no-one came forward to join the sinking ship, the usual top table suspects will stay in place :oops:Formic wrote:Indeed - the general concensus on Poppynet seems to be criticism of the Southern League for not kicking them out today! I note they've got a Trust Meeting on Friday that was already scheduled, but it appears that the credible people on the Trust Board have had such abuse from the Fanbase when trying to negotiate a way forwards previously that they are likely to resign.Olly wrote:To be honest, the vast majority of the ktfc fanbase has had enough, I doubt many will have the energy to put all their efforts into a campaign like ours after all that's gone on, they're as good as dead and the fact there's been barely anymore discussion on there than there has been on here on the situation says it all really.Formic wrote:This is a smart move by the Southern League, as it will mean that KTFC will seal their own fate if they don't meet whatever these conditions are - so the league can't be accused of not giving them a chance to save themselves.
It will be interesting to see if the KTFC fanbase does make an attempt to save themselves, like we tried with the Diamonds until it became clear we would need to pay off Cousins inside two seasons in order to stay at Conference level - or are they just prepared to let their history disappear.
No earth shattering news from the meeting, just a feeling of general helplessness, so I am led to believe.
On a lighter note however, one of the discussions was about the memorabilia collection, but what wasn't asked was, where is the collection, where is it stored, and that the first 50 years of the 140's history was in fact KFC's. Even more ironic is the collection is housed by the current KFC Chairman.
Oh what a tangled web we weave......

We had a similar problem on exiting NP Red Kite, apparently some of our memorabilia ended up being skipped

I tried to sort that out for you, with Debanker on the PN forum about a year ago. There was still some of your history in boxes in one of the offices, but I was told that HT had taken some, if not most of the collection. Say no more. I too heard that some was skipped, absolutely terrible if that is true.
Re: Desperate measures.....
What gets me is the Trust meeting was a great place for the New Investor (s) to show their faces (s) and get the support of the Trust Board and members and give a view of the future they wish for KTFC as with only 6 days to go surely it was time to come out of the closet.
They either have other agenda or they wish to keep a low profile as they may have a name or names that would not go down well.

Re: Desperate measures.....
Possibility: KTFC get kicked out tomorrow but KTFC Management Ltd keeps going (to avoid Ladak's kneecaps being smashed). They then apply for the UCL in time for next season playing at NP. Possible? Or will KTFC going bust get Ladak out of his role as guarantor?
