I've given up on the idea of cycling, the trip home could be a tad dodgy ;)

Hello all i stopped watching diamonds a few years back not because they were struggling but because the football had become awful to watch. living in Kempston I went to the Wootton game with my 12 year old son and we really enjoyed it. it felt like the early days of watching rushden.

I cant do regular games on a Saturday anymore due to working Saturdays but I will will making the short trip to Olney on Saturday and am looking forward to my first trip to the Dog and duck when I have a Saturday off.

Was passing through Olney today and had a look at the ground and yep its exactly the same, the position of the benches was slightly odd and there isn't even a barrier round the pitch to lean on and I have to say it was hard to believe we're playing there on Saturday, another reminder about low down the pyramid we are. But nevertheless, still looking forward to it :)

Though how are they allowed in the league, as don't you need 50 seats to stay in the division or something, they haven't got any like Harrowby, but Harrowby have only just come up, yet Olney were in this division last season weren't they?

Um just with my FA hat on, it's the Leagues that are responsible for grading there clubs and confirming if the are acceptable to meet the criteria, not the FA. I know we can blame them for a lot of things in football but this time the exceptence of Olney in UCL 1 is down to the league and not the FA :) ;)

Had a drive past the ground today and it is very basic, like a park with a small stand. Pitch is looking in good condition tho and fairly flat
