Desperate measures.....
Re: Desperate measures.....
"KTFC will be hosting their Season Ticket Day on Saturday 4th August, when fans will get the chance to meet the squad, get photos and ask questions to their favourite players, at the Season Ticket fans’ day".
My latest favourite from poopyland, they can meet their favourite players. They only have three players left from last season, all of which have only been there for one season (with one having a prior spell with them) and form part of the team which produced their worst season in living memory. All of which are only still there because they are too shite to get better offers.
Which of these mighty legends would you choose to have your photo taken with ?
Ooooo what a treat, I can hardly wait. Decisions, decisions........... who to meet first?
I can't wait to show the photo of me and Phil Ifil to my future grandchildren.

I see they start the season away at Weymouth, whoever dopes the fixtures has a sense of humour.

They'll see it now since some of their fans like to keep up to date with how many posts are in this thread!!Three of Diamonds wrote:Absolutely agree with this. I'm certain like us they will view it as a stepping stone to getting their own team up and running with the agenda firmly fixed on returning to the borough of K*ttering. Substitute K*ttering for Rushden/Irthlingborogh and Isn't that exactly what we are doing?
I also note that it's not been mentioned on Ploppynet either, so they're obviously not worried about this significant development.
Good luck to them I say, at least some of them are getting off their arse and doing something, the rest are just stuck in delusions of grandeur.
Odd that they have been accepted to the NSYL though, didn't Pitchero say Bo Patrick went on a rant at them calling the NSYL board all the names under the sun? and saying they'd regret not accepting them?

Another thing I note from their fixtures is that we're 'away' at Hayden Road on the same day that they're at home to Bashley. It will be interesting to compare the attendances on that day. ;)

I can't see them getting anywhere near the attendances we got last year in the NSYL, as most on ploppynet are mixed if they will watch KFC. Fair play if they do get the same attendances as us, but I can't see it myself.Sara Pascoe wrote:Another thing I note from their fixtures is that we're 'away' at Hayden Road on the same day that they're at home to Bashley. And obviously we'll get more than them at Hayden Road!!!

Re: Desperate measures.....
Of course they won't get close but that is because they still have a senior team to watch. The situation with K*ttering Town FC/K*ttering FC and ours are totally different. However there numbers will be down on what they will be hoping for i feeldiamondgeezer1 wrote:I can't see them getting anywhere near the attendances we got last year in the NSYL, as most on ploppynet are mixed if they will watch KFC. Yes, I did say that - and that was exactly what he said. However, KFC appealed and produced a signed agreement to play at Raunds (as we did last year) and the appeal - at which Bo Patrick didn`t appear - was then put to the clubs to vote for or against entry.diamondgeezer1 wrote:They'll see it now since some of their fans like to keep up to date with how many posts are in this thread!!Three of Diamonds wrote:Absolutely agree with this. At least it evens-up the divisions!!
I still have my doubts as to whether they`ll finish the season as I wonder where they`ll get around 200 quid for every home game (ground and officials)??

good point Robin,
How come kempston have moved divisions, and why aren't R&H in our division? 8-)

Re: Desperate measures.....
Are the Wellingboro and the Whitworths U18's new teams or were they competing in other competitions last year?
Where are the AFC / WTFC U18's playing their games this season, they can't all be at the Dog & Duck surely? I want to try and keep up supporting the U18's, I saw them last Saturday and it was good to see the progress of some of the existing players and some new faces.
