Have been hearing this morning that lots of their KTFC youth system players are to quit. Main two guys running the show quit the day before. It's a shame when a good youth system falls apart like that, just like ours did this time last year.
I know a few of our old RDFC youth players moved over to KTFC last season and already heard a few are planning to come back and I'm sure more will follow.

"As I understand it Rolls has set-up an agreement with an academic establishment that means the more youth players that go there, the more cash for the club. The focus will be on community coaching rather than developmental, it will be about getting as many lads into the system as possible rather than into the first team.
Quantity not quality.
Although the cash flow may help the club, thats all that he wants out of the youth system, cash. There is an expectation for kids and parents to commit financially but absolutely no commitment back from Rolls.
The 'pay to play' rumours will be popping up a lot next season for any new young face appearing in the 1st team squad.
I suspect that 99% of the current crop will still be together next season but will be wearing a different badge in Northamptonshire next year."
So basically the youth set up will support the first team!!!! Not got it the right way round has he!

Will they get an GNVQ as part of this? ;) I'm sure we can all recommend who might help in that case. ;) Liam Beasant appears to be at a loose end again, with his "Drop Zone Fitness" initiative having disappeared off the face of the web. Perhaps there have been productive discussions on the golf courses of Weymouth?bozzer wrote:someone just posted this on poppy net

Re: Desperate measures.....
I wonder if next Saturday's game at Nene Park will be the last one staged there.
The Poppies fans all seem very confident their club will sort out the raft of financial issues in the next few weeks and they will stage Conference North football next season.
I think they might get a similar shock after that game similar to the one that R&DFC fans received prior to their final trip to Darlington.

Re: Desperate measures.....
I see that last night's fundraising event at 'The Venue' had a very poor turnout. It seems that the Ploppies faithfull and the wider public are not going to embrace Rolls vision for utilising the facilities on offer. The penny must be dropping that they aren't going to be able to 'sweat the facilities' as many before them found out to their cost.
