Well done all! There were a lot of familiar faces from AFC R and D at our ground last night and it was good to catch up with everyone.
Can you express our thanks to your supporters who conducted themselves really well and seemed appreciative of the efforts we had made to cater for them.
The appreciation for our lads when they left the field was a nice touch after a game that had certainly ebbed and flowed. I think it was a good advert for local Under 18 football and a real old fashioned cup tie!
Best wishes for the final.

That's good to hear. Shame it can't be said for some of their fans, they had me and Mrs S surrounded, and one chap in particular was damn right nasty  Still WE WON, HOORAY!

My favourite heckle of the evening was (old bloke at the top of his voice in a quiet moment, directed at AFC fans behind the goal) "You haven't got a team!!!"supersub wrote:That's good to hear. Not a very observant heckler, that one.
Re: Message from Rothwell Corinthians
Oh and the obe they shouted out to us as we were leaving the ground "Who you playing Satdee"
Re: Message from Rothwell Corinthians
Very nice of them to send that message hope they made a few quid
Re: Message from Rothwell Corinthians
They currently average only 32 for UCL games (only Wootton Blue Cross get smaller attendances), so I'm sure they are more than happy with last night's takings. Everyone connected with the club seemed very friendly and well organised, shame that a few scumbags, who I bet are never normally seen there, spoiled it a bit.STAGMAN wrote:Very nice of them to send that message hope they made a few quid

I suspect the few scumbags were the legendary, in their own playtime, Row'ell boys, surprised they were allowed to stay up that late really.
Corinthians run a youth tournament every May, we've been to the last two with teams at U9/10 and U7/8 and it's always been a good day out, especially the year we won it!

Considering how close they are to K*ttering, I thought their hospitality was superb! Decent enough beer, free sausage rolls and nice chat with some geezer who I believe was their chairman. Very Impressed.
