I was told last evening that either Sixfields or NP wouldn't be permitted venues for this final. Last season's final took place at the Dog & Duck.

My first time seeing the lads, it was a shocking game to be honest with only one team interested in playing football.

How Rothwell kept 11 men on the field is beyond me and if that had been my U11's getting that sort of treatment I'd have taken them off midway through the second half for their own protection.

The best team definitely won and credit should go to these boys for not reacting to the provocation and for keeping on trying to play football.

Thanks to Matt for the lift as well

I would imagine that Corby Town's ground will be the most likely venue, it would be great to stand in a proper terrace again! :D

We were told that its got too be played at a ground of one of the clubs in the NSYL, so Corby would be the obvious choice. It was a fantastic win the boys never stopped trying and fully deserved the win. It was great too have a little sing song at the end too, I really enjoyed last night and it made me even more excited for the final/next season.

It wasn't a great game of football but that's hardly surprising given the pitch. However, the lads showed grit and determination the result is all important. What a fantastic achievement in our first season, the boys, coaching staff and all of the people working so hard behind the scenes should be rightly proud of.

Absolutely great stuff that we'll be in the final!

Hopefully we'll get a big crowd for this game. The attendance could be an indication of the sort of figures we might be getting next season. I think to get a big crowd its essential we advertise the match really thoroughly. A good idea, which I don't think has been done yet, would be to make an official Facebook event using the AFCR&D page. This helps spread the word easily and cheaply.

Congratulations Mark and the lads.
