Went to cheer on Birdy and Louis at Rothwell today, Birdy played the full 90 and Louis the final 35 minutes. It was an entertaining game although one completely lacking in quality, and finished 6-3 to Potton!

Birdy (on his debut) had a difficult afternoon against a 6' 4", probably 15+ stone giant, but certainly didn't look out of place and actually played far better than a few of his teammates! Louis did well when he came on, looking very calm and assured, no different really to how he usually plays for us.

It must be really tough to be a Rothwell player/official/supporter at the moment, they have a very young team and are struggling week in week out. Their time there will certainly be character building for our lads!

In my opinion both lads should be extremely proud of their efforts today. The way in which they conducted themselves was first class and they showed that they want to play football the right way in a difficult and often quite physical game.

I can't wait to watch them play again!
