J.C's right about the Police as well. It's a complete joke how much they must take out of football clubs, especially at this level where very few games need policing, and even those don't need the amount of manpower we've seen before. Remember the derby at NP in 2009 - ****ing helicopters, just for a few 14 year olds thinking they're tough! Must've taken all of the profit from that game. Luton in 2010, was it £18k that was bandied around that day? They still couldn't keep the twats off the pitch!

Their own trust now saying the club is nearly dead - feel like getting the popcorn out for Poppynet tonight...oh how some of them gloated!

I will have ample respect for any KTFC fans who set a Phoenix team up in their own town, but they all bought IL's lies hook, line and sinker. Ignored warnings, and they get what they deserve.

@JonDunhamET Most telling quote from Trust: "The K*ttering Town (Poppies) Supporters Trust now fears that K*ttering Town Football Club is all but dead"

No more Desperate Measures?! Say it ain't so Pa!

Comedy gold on the plops forum tonight. Elvis has flown the white flag tonight and seems to be just letting the club die. Even Dazza has given up it seems.

Expecting email/internet post from Northampton FC any day now offering the fans free season tickets..

And I still think Wrexham fans have raised more cash to save the club then their own fans have to date, shameful.

Yes we failed to save our club last year but I think we gave it a bloody good go, don't really think you can say the same for them.

Sara the club wouldnt have paid for the helicopter, as it would have been deemed to be outside the ground. Football clubs only pay for officers deployed inside the ground or within the agreed footprint of the ground.
This is a national issue and some clubs, especially in the Midlands, are being charged twice what we have paid for Northants Police. It's a mess that no-one can seem to sort out.

The helicopter was only there as that game was being used as a police training exercise - and I believe as a result the policing costs were significantly reduced.

Who determines the number of police deployed within the ground?

I swear I've posted this numerous times, but once again this whole saga never fails to throw up something to chuckle at, yet another nail in the coffin. The whole thing has been a laugh for sure, but I think its about time to put the fans out of their misery, our demise was painful but relatively quick compared to what they're going through.
