O/T Darlo
I know its slightly off topic but im sure a few people are aware of Darlington's bleak situation as they seem to be heading towards oblivion, there situation holds many similarities to RDFC. This post sums up what i felt and still do to a certain extent when we were going through the same thing.

It highlights we want AFC to flourish and prove all the doubters wrong

Christ, reading that thread brought back all of the emotions of February-July. Knowing how they're feeling is weird, I hope they pull through.

Re: O/T Darlo
I think they will only survive if their stadium issues are resolved and in this respect they are in the hands of the local authority. Depends if they have a Corby style council or a Kettrin'/East Northants one.Sara Pascoe wrote:Christ, reading that thread brought back all of the emotions of February-July. Last time I looked Corby is in East Northants, it's had money thrown at it for years.

It seems to be a county (or should that be city?) within itself where money is involved

I think you've missed my point completely. I was referring to Local Authorities.Three of Diamonds wrote:Last time I looked Corby is in East Northants, it's had money thrown at it for years.
Corby Borough Council is responsible for investment within the town hence the excellent community sporting facilities provided within the area. They provided 100% of the finances for the construction of Steel Park. K*ttering Borough Council and East Northants District Council have not invested in K*ttering and Rushden etc. in this respect. ;)
Corby and East Northamptonshire are, however, lumped together for parliamentary purposes sharing the same MP namely Ms Bagshawe.
