Were you talking about me Mr Pigman?
we really enjoyed the afternoon & to go home with a raffle win was a bonus. Will enjoy that Cointreau. ;) Good turnout for a great cause. Well done to everyone @ AFC Rushden & Diamonds for organising such a successful event.

Yes that's about right, just under £3k which includes the winning bid for the Auction as well.davealbon wrote:Early reports are in the region of £2500-£3000, a more precise figure will be announced in due course. A massive "Thank You" to everyone who contributed to this fantastic total. The Godfather wrote:At a rough estimate, how much was raised today?
Another batch of late last minute coins to count up, but should get the final figure tomorrow. [Am currently back to some work/catchup]
We'll also be putting more details of course on the aims of the Dale Roberts Memorial Fund once we have sorted this out with the Roberts Family.
Thanks again for a great day! This is just the start.
Re: Dale Roberts Memorial Cup/Day
Sounds like a good effort, disappointed I couldn't make it over. Will these funds be added to the money raised previously or has that been lost to the rdfc black hole/ the beasants pockets?
Keep up the good work and I hope to see the fruits of it in a years time!

Re: Dale Roberts Memorial Cup/Day
This money would be sent directly to the Roberts Trust (Dale Roberts Memorial Fund), once banked etc..
The account subject to investigation as I understand it was an interim account that the Club had setup for the purposes of holding monies until they could be transferred into the Roberts Trust, so I do not know the status of that. And is not something I can answer.

Oh right, that's a shame, hopefully it is all recovered and directed to its rightful destination.

Re: Dale Roberts Memorial Cup/Day
The Dale Roberts Memorial Fund was set up by George and Isabel, Dale's parents, to help worthwhile causes that Dale held close to his heart. These include providing Christmas presents to children in the local hospital and helping youngsters off the streets and into football. The fund will also be used to help people who find themselves in a similiar situation to which Dale was in. Adam Johnson is the Ambassador for the fund.

Speaking of which I seem to have ended up after the tidying up with a box with some programmes in, so will aim to make sure these are at our next few games so we can sell them or put one to one side for anyone for collection. I think they were being sold for £1.50 donation to the fund again.PigmanRDFC wrote: Taken from yesterday's programme !
