I saw the wink so was airing on the side of caution. ;)
You know where Wellingborough Town is then I take it?
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....
That's a really tremendous turnout - especially when you look at a comparable "first friendly of the season away from Nene Park" - when the first team went to Rothwell a couple of seasons ago - http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/NewsD ... 40,00.html - and the turnout was probably less than it was today.
Will we know the official attendance for todays game at all? I asked someone at the game but they didn't seem to know, neither did the lady on the gate.

Don't think I saw anyone counting at the gate so I doubt it. We'll just have to go by estimates of between 300 and 350 I would say.
I don't think Raunds were actually counting people in, but I spoke to one of their committee at half time and based on the gate takings she estimated there were 200-250 in attendance. I would have suggested closer to 250, although it may have been even more - it was difficult to judge how many adults and how many concession there were.

I deliver to Whitworths in Wellingborough. We have to go into the new warehousing, where Homebase is, the new park along the A45.
Piggers, if you are looking for Wellingborough football club the easiest way from yours is to head as far up the A6 towards Nene park, turn left onto the A45 heading towards Northampton. Over one roundabout and take the slip immediately after the BP garage. head towards Welly town centre keeping Tesco on your left. At the roundabout past Tesco turn left and the D & D is on your right. The ground is right behind that. You can park in the retail park on your left at the same set of lights if you need to.
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.
