I'd expect to see a big pick up post-5pm, when people are back from work and have time to read this thread/the forum.

Unfortunately I'm having to use a borrowed PC to get briefly online as I'm away from home today, but the good news is I've had some emails pledging they will donate very generously once the facility is available.

Bozzer - can I make one suggestion - perhaps add a few words on the page that all monies donated with be held in a separate account managed by the Rushden & Diamonds Trust. Ideally we need also to route people to donate directly by funds transfer to the account rather than using Paypal (to avoid Paypal commission) - perhaps someone can contact the Trust and check if they are OK with the actual account details being published - I believe Bozzer will have the contact details, as I don't have them to hand.

Meanwhile, I'll give them the Paypal URL, and add it to the http://www.rdfcsupporters.co.uk website (I'll experiment with a "donate" button when I get time later).

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe paypal allows charitable donations foc of the commission fees, is it worth looking into that for the payments if the funds are being held in trust account as well - may save us the 3.4% standard fee charge per £1 donated if it can apply?

No correction needed - you're 100% right and also 'gifts', i.e where no product or service is exchanged, are comission-free. Judging from the PayPal page I'd say Bozzer already has this covered.

Good article, has this chap been politely asked to retweet the twitter campaign. He has 500 odd followers, worth a shot if they all have 10 each, and they all have 10 each, etc we reach 50k peeps on twitter very quickly thru that one link alone! Have not been able to access twitter fully on this damn Blackberry and no work access to it, otherwise would sort this myself, any volunteers?

Right here is an idea i have had for a while now, i think we should do some sort of waendel walk/bike ride with a route around northamptonshire, everyone who is taking part has to be sponsored, so say 1000 people take part and get sponsored by £100 each then thats £100,000 all going towards the club also we could do refreshments/BBQ after. Every little helps. Also there is the waendel walk thing taking down at the castle wellingborough (don't know if its happening anywhere else) this weekend so i reckon we should get some people down there so people can give donations towards the club.

Judging by this guy's other site he has an affinity for non-league football. Could be useful.

If people want to pay by cheque or cash, who should it be addressed to?

i would give it to Rachel Roberts or John Souster and i assume, but Formic may need to correct this that it should be made payable to the trust.
