Empty your pockets and encourage people to part with their money, not to the Beasants or the club, but to an account being held by the Trust.Mat.H wrote:I couldn't make it but as fans what are we supposed to do in these 14 days?

Just got Back. (live in Milton Keynes)
I am not sure that i learned anymore than was already posted on here before hand.
I still not sure how debts can be run up in such a short space of time and right now it really is not the point.
I am sure with Gill and Dave Wignells help we would be able to get through this But i think we should let them form a working party that they feel they can work with but must include Helen, Rachel and Formic (sorry dont know real name
) then if they agree they can draw on the help already offered by people who have come or will come forward.
I am concerned by Keiths attitude towards the present trust board (as it seems maybe they in the past have not supported the club as much a sthey could / should have) and feel it would benefit all parties that the trust remained seperate from the working party but to follow through with the commitment to support all funding for the youth teams, thus allowing all monies recieved from the youth to be given direct to the club.
I do not know anyone personally from those names i have put forward but they do appear to have the knowledge and expertise to follow through on whats is needed.

Re: We've got 14 days to save this club
I wasn't at the forum but my Dad attended. Due to playing football this season I haven't been able to go as much as I'd have liked to, but after my dad filled me in on the situation I ran a couple of ideas by him which he said I should post on here.
Firstly, I know a few seasons ago they used to do a fans Vs. players game. How about getting something like this sorted again? Or maybe just fans Vs. fans with the privelage of being able to play on the Nene Park pitch. I for one would pay around £40 for 90 minutes on Nene Park, if 22 people show interest in this that's about a grand alone. Thrown the fans a few of the old kits, get a volunteer photographer to capture their moments and sell them at the end for about a fiver a pop and possibly a few volunteer staff (stewards etc.) theb charge a few quid for people to watch. The pitch won't need to be in the condition that it has been, i as a fan would love to say I've played on our pitch and maybe other people would too?
Also, maybe a friendly involving players from the glory days? We could try and tempt players such as darby, Mustafa, Hunter and Hall back for a friendly with either the current crop or the fans and charge people to see it. Maybe some old big names would entice the 'fans' that left when they did.

we get the club debt free, but unless we come up with a plan of how to get the club making money. we will just fall back into debt againMat.H wrote:So if say 750 cough up a grand each we save the club, then what?

The estimated debt is £750,000 although apparently a lot of that is to KC.Mat.H wrote:So if say 750 cough up a grand each we save the club, then what?
KC said we need to raise a ball park figure of around £250,000 in the short term to pay off HRMC, Cloverdale and utilities in the first instance and then reach agreement with other debtors.

Exactly but the first priority is saving the club.Rushdenjim wrote:we get the club debt free, but unless we come up with a plan of how to get the club making money. we will just fall back into debt againMat.H wrote:So if say 750 cough up a grand each we save the club, then what?
Will buying the season ticket that I held back on help or will the money go in the wrong pot?

We need to buy your season ticket, peferable by credit card, but dont pay it too Rushden and Diamonds. Pay it to the trust or John from the trust. there bank details will appear soon. that way your money will go into a pot that is primarly to save the club.Mat.H wrote:Exactly but the first priority is saving the club.Rushdenjim wrote:we get the club debt free, but unless we come up with a plan of how to get the club making money. we will just fall back into debt againMat.H wrote:So if say 750 cough up a grand each we save the club, then what?
