Whilst I am sure they would not be prepared to divulge itemised amounts I see no reason why they would not be able or willing to give a total number for both debtors and creditors so maybe that would be able to put peoples minds at rest (or not as the case maybe). At least you would have something to base your decision on.
Without full access to accounts I don't see any benefit. It would likely be a very brief, sanitised version of the picture which wouldn't tell us much more than we already know.
I presume that you must be reasonably au fait with the situation having been so closely involved until very recently, and I understand that it is not possible for you to discuss too much openly on here bearing in mind your present situation regarding the owners, but I think most of us have picked up from your posts, and other information, that there is no money available, either to clear current debts, or to fund future working capital requirements.
If it were just a case of raising a one-off sum to clear debts and put the club on an even keel going forward I think maybe one or more individuals/organisations might be prepared to take that responsibility on, but it is the future that concerns me even more. I can't see where the neccesary revenue streams are going to come from to sustain a full time club at our level without considerable external backing.
As Government cuts start to really bite I think many clubs at our level, and above, will find it increasingly difficult to survive. I predict that there will need to be a radical shake-up in the structure of the football pyramid over the next 5 years, with many full time clubs moving to part-time, some clubs ceasing to exist, and much more regionalisation of the Leagues.
Football at our level may become stronger at the end of it but it could be a painful journey with quite a few casualties along the way.
