On paper we should have got 6 points from the last 2 games - but we only got 2.

I think we lack flair and ideas upfront, like we had in Tomlin last year.

Well I suppose thinking about it, one bit of hope is that we do seem to play better against the better sides, we always seem to be dragged down to the crappy teams' level and then not beat them and Wrexham aren't on incredible form with 2 narrow victories and a loss to Kiddy and hopefully we can have someone like Cowan-Hall back. I'll be there anyway, Wrexham's the closest I've got to a local Diamonds game :)

stuart was a leader at the back too. we lack one central defender that'll go get the ball and clear it at vital times.
two poor teams tonight.

Not too concerned about failing to reach the play-offs, just happy to have negotiated a stormy season off the pitch and managed a safe upper mid table position to launch next season.

But...from a fan's point of view tonight’s surrender in the last 15 mins is very frustrating. It has been typical of this season - we have more of the play and chances but hit by soft goals and poor defending.

To be fair to FG they came out fighting in the 2nd half and battled and eventually won supremacy in mid-field. Have seen (and said) too many times this season, have our midfield three been out fought by a 4 man opposition.

But then again, why did we defend so deep after their first goal..?
It was very noticeable that after they equalised we started to play in their half again and almost scored - well it was Farrell with the chance...

Friday night should be interesting, shame I can't make this one.

Not sure about Darlo, they're probably thinking the same as us tonight, they did exactly the same and let a 2 goal slip late on

Would you keep Stuart at the club when the players didn't want to play with him though?

A draw against an infom gateshead side away from home isn't too bad, they have got as much games in hand as us aswell. I doubt cooper would let his side think of the summer hols too early

I wasn't there to see the capitulation sadly, but thats football folks, we could easily go out and beat Wrexham on Saturday and Grimsby on Tuesday because those two sides will have to come on to us and look for 3 points. Of course, we may get buried out of sight too ;)

Thats the joys of football. I must admit, laid in my sick bed when I saw us go 2-0 up I thought thats it, I had a message later saying we just seemed to stop playing in the last 12 minutes, seemingly thinking the job was done - so some butts will be kicked today I'm sure.

759 there to see it is a serious worry. Can't be far off the number of just season ticket holders there????
