Strange words in the NLP today! after the game when JE confirmed he turned down Grimsby and Cambridge, he follows on to say... "the people here in charge are really looking to take the club forward and i am pleased the the former chairman Gary Calder has chosen to leave. There have been some tactics which i certainly didn't appreciate and i am delighted that the board chose to back me." :shock:

Any ideas what went on?

Today's ET suggested that Calder wanted to axe JE and replace him with someone else before xmas. I think the Beasants resented this and knew there would be a massive uproar from the fans, and took Justin's side..

So he tried to get rid of JE in December just after Dale died? Or just before?

If it was just before it was unjustified. If it was after then it was heartless, stupid and mistimed at best.

Either way, what a prat. :evil:

Probably explains our dire run of form around that time. Was obvious strange things were happening.
