He scored 3 goals though.. Must have been a higher goal per game ratio than Scott Partridge! hahaDeBankeResident wrote:He was awful for us, but I'm sure he made his Northern Ireland debut a while ago...playing at Portadown now I think...

Re: Gareth Seddon
I always rated Braniff. He was certainly better than all the other strikers we had at that particular time. His goals won us games against Grimsby and Cheltenham i think.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Gary Mulligan was a similar period I think, and I rated him as well.BartonRaz wrote:I always rated Braniff. He was certainly better than all the other strikers we had at that particular time. His goals won us games against Grimsby and Cheltenham i think.

Re: Gareth Seddon
I think that both Braniff and Mulligan, for all their effort and pedigree, fell into the 'couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo' category and were in a team that was quickly on the slide after relegation from League 1 under Tippett/Hunter. Another more recent striker who fell into this category was Lee Phillips.

I didn't really like Braniff but I liked Mulligan, who worked very hard, it was just unfortunate that we were shit and couldn't create sufficient chances for them.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

I know there was a bad taste in the mouth when he left but must have missed the smell :mrgreen:TheIncognitoKid wrote:Also involved with Broughton, during his first stench with the club
