Championship play-offs
Great games, both of them, intresting to see either Cardiff or Blackpool go into the 'dream land' of the premier league! Intresting to see only 1,925 from Blackpool at the City ground, makes Diamonds' 1,100 look very good indeed compared to a league 3 stages above us!
Re: Championship play-offs
Blackpool are a relatively small club, roughly 2,000 away fans isn't too bad.
I'd love them to go up, although having a Welsh side in the Premiership would be interesting!

They may be a 'small' club at that level, but 2000 away fans for a Championship play off semi-final is shocking!Irish Diamond wrote:Blackpool are a relatively small club, roughly 2,000 away fans isn't too bad.

I thought there was a minimum they had to be given? 15% or something like that?StuartRDFC wrote:I think thats all they got allocated!

Just thinking.. doesn't premier league teams need a stadium of something like 20k +?
how would Blackpool cope with a stadium of just over 12k

Not unless they have changed the rules recently. Vicarage Road, The County Ground and Loftus Road all have a capacity below 20k and have played host to Premiership games in the past.mattreddan wrote:Just thinking.. doesn't premier league teams need a stadium of something like 20k +?
