Well, yesterday's performance answered that one, we're not play off material. Too often this team doesn't get the job done and it looked like it had no ideas against a well drilled but no great shakes team in Wellingborough. God knows if it'll bother turning up at Corby, I was looking forward to it but having second thoughts after that.sussexdiamond wrote: Fri Dec 26, 2025 10:36 am If we have any hopes of a play off challenge this is a must win match followed by another win against Corby.
Win both and we will be in top 10,maybe even higher.
This second half of the season could turn really scrappy if we're not up for it.

I wasn't at the match so can't comment on performance, but result was very disappointing. How many times now have we failed to overcome ten men?
With Corby's result yesterday next week is no longer a certain win.

Lacklustre display, several players seemed to be off form. Substitutions seemed to improve things a bit. Hope for better things to come in 2026. Good crowd but I wish the 'choir' had done more to encourage our side instead of trying to wind up one of our better ex-keepers all the time!

We were pretty woeful yesterday. Frustrating as we all know the majority of the players in this team are capable of much better.Cotty wrote: Sat Dec 27, 2025 11:37 am Lacklustre display, several players seemed to be off form. Agreed on the Sneds banter, was amusing but after the first 5 minutes our efforts would’ve been better spent getting behind the team.

I see the Wellingborough moneybags signed Slinn and Tomlinson from Corby who both played against us. They must have a big budget now, goodness knows how they afford it on attendances of 175?
