Corby were bang average in my opinion, not as good as last season, we certainly didn’t deserve to lose that game, unfortunately they took their only real chance, the lack of goals from us is becoming a concern, it’s not like we aren’t creating chances, but we just cannot make them count.
Have to give Corby fans credit though, they come out and support their club, however I’m finding this narrative that they keep trying to push on social media that we are rivals, and reminding us numerous times how we let our club die is getting tiresome, they’ve only got one song, but hey at least we made some money off it with the pledge. I counted about 4 times?

I was sitting in the stand next to the terrace and it was 7 times , got rather boring. As you say Corby not as good as last year , but also we a rea better side than last year. At the moment i think Corby will struggle to get top spot. Sure we will soon get the scoring going and it was a shame that Bruno failed his fitness test

Not sure who their derby rivals are, but it certainly isn't us.

They haven’t got one, hence why they’re trying to invent one with us. I guess it shows how far we’ve come that Corby consider us their rival, same as Wellingborough celebrating like they won the league when they beat us last season.therushden wrote: Tue Aug 26, 2025 4:35 pm Not sure who their derby rivals are, but it certainly isn't us.

Controversial, but I think these teams are starting to become our local rivals now.
As much as I hate to admit it, K*ttering are quite some way ahead of us financially and get far greater average attendances currently. Whilst that rivalry will never die because of all the history behind it, other local clubs that we actually compete with on a season-to-season basis can be local rivals as well.
Regardless it's good for business if the fans of these teams think we are rivals, Corby is now the guaranteed highest attendance game at home every season and must be a good boost for our income. If that rivalry continues to grow to the sort of levels of K*ttering and we get 1000+ gates at those games then it's a win win.
