Dreadful from diamonds. No idea other than hoof ball. Midfield might as well not be there. Keep it on the ground FFS. They've not got wings. Don't know where we go from here. Now 16th and on this form getting dragged into unnecessary relegation battle

Starting to question if this management team can turn our poor form around, absolute woeful performance from us.

I said just last week that we will get back to winning ways soon and I did give the season so far a 7.5 out of 10 recently. I’m not sure if me being away for a few games has played into my viewpoint, but either way I think I need to be fair and not be overly negative or reactive. I also think given what we witnessed last season, Harriman has shown us enough for us to have faith he can turn this around.
With those things said, this run of form undoubtedly needs to turn around soon. I think the majority of the squad have shown us that they are up to scratch at step 4, with a few that have shown us that they may be just below the level required. I do wonder why we haven’t had any loans from clubs like Northampton this season…I’m sure I read either in the minutes or heard it at the AGM that Harriman had the pick of the bunch at the Cobblers this season. What Harriman definitely did say at the AGM, was that the youngsters this year at Cobblers were not quite good enough…I think Neo Dobson has proved that statement wrong. Surely we need to be exploring these opportunities, especially as I’ve just heard we are supposedly running over budget. One final thing I will say about our on the pitch issues, is that as the person who makes the Goal of the Month Highlights, I think I might struggle this month, as we only managed one goal.
Away from the pitch, and my main disappointment of the day believe it or not, is the attendance yet again. Poor in my view and such a shame.

I thought the attendance was ok, not where want to be but not shockingly low, a couple of hundred more than last years Boxing Day against Harborough, although I expect the extra were made up of Corby fans.
2 poor teams today, agree Harriman should be given time given the great job he did last season

Attendance is alright. One day we will see it near a thousand when we have a good side in around the playoffs . Might need investment for that . I mean we have just the one goal (pen) in December, doesn’t really get the excitement going.

Just realised our tally is actually 3 if you include the Maunsell Cup game. Might be able to eke out a video.rickthediamond wrote: Thu Dec 26, 2024 5:33 pm One final thing I will say about our on the pitch issues, is that as the person who makes the Goal of the Month Highlights, I think I might struggle this month, as we only managed one goal.

Perhaps the time has come to look elsewhere for a manager who can lift us out of the mess that we find ourselves in.Michael is a good bloke but I feel for him having to come and stick up for some players in his post match interview,We had a manager in Chris Nunn who had to do exactly the same,a smashing chap but it just didn't work out, some of the players we had then let him down badly and this seems a bit like a bit of the same.Dont let us leave it until it's to late and who ever we manage to get has the unenviable task of trying to keep us up.This might sound all doom and gloom but we have to be realistic and act before it's to late.

While the recent poor form is certainly concerning, I think it would have to get a lot worse to be considering change of manager, if Michael can get us out of the situation we were in 12 months ago, then he can get us out of this situation which is not even close to being as bad at least.smoky wrote: Thu Dec 26, 2024 6:26 pm Perhaps the time has come to look elsewhere for a manager who can lift us out of the mess that we find ourselves in.Michael is a good bloke but I feel for him having to come and stick up for some players in his post match interview,We had a manager in Chris Nunn who had to do exactly the same,a smashing chap but it just didn't work out, some of the players we had then let him down badly and this seems a bit like a bit of the same.Dont let us leave it until it's to late and who ever we manage to get has the unenviable task of trying to keep us up.This might sound all doom and gloom but we have to be realistic and act before it's to late.
We do however, clearly need to add to the squad, and another young inexperienced step 5 player or step 7 player is not going to improve the squad, I know we have a limited budget for sure, but we really could do with getting a couple of more experienced heads in, even if it is still from step 5.
