If anyone has any doubts about Burgess this podcast should change your perception of him. He sounds as though he wants the job permanently. I don't think he was too impressed with Ernie Tippett though.

Agreed- he's clearly got some big plans that he want's to take forward and his list of contacts will be fairly large I imagine. The signing of Jordan Graham certainly looks to be a potential great one.

He's brought a real "buzz" around the place. Certainly from a personal point of view, he's re-sparked an interest in goings on, much more than I had a few weeks back!

He comes across well in interviews and clearly has a passion of the club. What ever the outcome come the end of the season/ the play offs. I'd love to seem him given the job for next season!

Absolutely agree with all of that, I’ve seen enough that even if we miss the playoffs that he’s the right man to take us forward.

Very good podcast that. Did I hear right that Talbot/Griggs turned down a £1m offer from Sunderland for Burg?

Whilst I agree with everything that you've said there, I think the board might find themselves in a difficult position should we fail to make the play-offs from the position that we were/are in. If we make the play-offs, it's a shoe-in. Whilst I have bemoaned the way we have defended just lately it's certainly been refreshing to watch us play a completely different, exciting brand of football. Despite the excellent results we were getting at the end of Peaks' reign, the club has been crying out for something different on the pitch for a long time.

Really enjoyable listen, by the way.
