I would have taken a draw this morning, and on the balance of the game was probably a fair result, but their first goal had a suspicion of offside and their second, the ref gave offside as the linesman had flagged then after pressure from the home players talked to the linesman and over ruled his decision, I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it at this level.

That’s the best we’ve played at Coalville, clearly it’s unlucky for Peaksy not diamonds!!!!
Graham just oozes quality, just wait until he is fit!! Shame Connor had to go off as he was having a great game too, hope his injury isn’t too bad, how much luck are we having with injuries at the moment!
Fernando again was class so was Jessie, and Paddy was great at centre half.
I know Alvechurch have closed the gap but still to me even if they catch us Burgess should be given the job on a permanent basis.

Really proud of that display today from the boys, in such a high-pressure game. Defensively I thought we did as well as we could with the players missing and Ben Diamond did a really solid job at right back. Going forward it was a bit hit and miss after the first 10 minutes but what a 10 minutes it was! Two superbly taken goals from Jordan Graham. I think I might have to eat my words with this one because a couple of weeks ago I questioned if there was any point signing a half-fit player at this stage of the reason. He looks like he could be an outstanding addition.

I would love to hear an explanation as to why the second goal was given because the referee had no intention whatsoever of consulting the linesman until the Coalville players harangued him for what felt like an age. Really weak officiating.

The gap down to 3 points tonight and with Alvechurch unexpectedly taking maximum points from two tough looking away games at Stourbridge and Hednesford, they've certainly got the momentum. Next Saturday is huge because they're at home to Lowestoft and you'd think they'd take maximum points there. Beyond that, they've got Banbury and Royston, two fixtures I really wouldn't want, if that were us!
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

I echo Bozzer and Barton Raz’s thoughts…

Jordan Graham was class and a proper handful, very impressive and he gives us a real focal point up top. Ty who?
Overall a point was probably fair, Sneds made a couple of class saves once again particularly a close range reaction stop in the second half. We created some good chances and looked dangerous every time we attacked. Everyone put a real shift in today and if we end up not making the play offs it won’t be for the lack of effort.

I’d have took a point today however I thought that Alvechurch would drop points at Hednesford in all honesty. Anyway I’d still take our run in over theirs, Banbury will we be desperate to hit the 100 point mark so I can’t see them easing up on Alvechurch.

Like Bozzer has already said, I think Burgess has done enough to warrant getting a real crack at the job. We’ve played some real entertaining stuff and he’s bought in some good additions.

I brought my 5 year old lad along today for his first game, he throughly enjoyed it! Hoping to bring him to plenty of games next season to bolster the young fan base :good:
