Result in the bag. Pads n Hughsey quality again. Ty excellent again. Great to see Bully back too. However, why oh why can't we score goals & kill the game off??? Should have comfortably beaten Redditch going on chances created! Could so easy have been another Barwell or Alvechurch!

Sometimes you just have to grind out a win, fight for every ball and put up with cheating histrionic opponents. We did that in spades today. I don't recall Sneds having a serious save to make.
We do need something more going forwards though, I just wish Nathan's long range effort had gone in.
Great effort

I actually thought Hughes could of been man of the match, but tshikuna was just as good. Had a feeling if we didn't get a second, then we might let Redditch off the hook and gift them a way back into the game but we deservedly held on. Looking good tablewise in tenth, it's just some of the performances that have been a bit of a disappointment and lets be honest, today wasn't the greatest of specticles. Great to have some food food available, although the £5 Burger was somewhat underwhelming but the lad said the chips were decent. Another 3 points is a must on Tuesday!Ricky330 wrote: Sat Nov 20, 2021 5:39 pm Result in the bag. Pads n Hughsey quality again. Ty excellent again. Great to see Bully back too. Not a vintage performance but just about did enough to get 3 points and that’s all that matters really.
A lot of good individual performances, Paddy, Ryan, Fernando is getting better and better and Nathan looked sharp and lively! It does feel like the squad is starting to click now and we should have scored 3 or 4 yesterday really.
Redditch look terrible though apart from their number 11, mid table is definitely our level this season

Definitely worthy winners, but not pretty. Redditch are piss poor and we came down to their level at times. Good passages of play throughout, but that final ball and the killer instinct just isn't there, and against better teams we're coming away with nothing on that level of performance.
3 points though and mid table so can't be all Doon and gloom I guess.
Credit to the board yesterday.
Burgers are back. Club shop open. And though it didn't have the desired effect, the small reduction in admission shows hat they're trying to do something to bring back the ever dwindling attendance. Think a Saturday afternoon 'pay what you like' 4-3-3 on the pitch and a 5-4 win for the diamonds is what we need to get a buzz back!!!
