Entertaining game, and like Peaksy said after the Stourbridge game, we had four proper defenders again tonight.
Only thing that was disappointing for me was the attendance. 250, even for a Tuesday night that was poor, lowest attendance so far this season btw, the food situation not helping, and some possibly still reluctant to attend due to covid.
Would also be nice to hear some more encouragement for the lads, something that wasn’t heard until the last 20/25 minutes last night.

The attendance is what it is and for years now Tuesday night games have been poorly supported. At least we had more than the big spending league leaders who are based in a much larger populated area! I think you’re right about the continuing impact of Covid and some regulars would be still be nervous about attending and many others have got out of the habit of attending matches. I have a rollover season ticket and probably wouldn’t have attended last evening with the tea time rain and then travelling 23 miles each way with a tortuous return journey caused by the northbound A6 night shut down at the Chowns Mill roundabout.AFCRD_Dan wrote: Wed Oct 13, 2021 7:13 am Only thing that was disappointing for me was the attendance. 250, even for a Tuesday night that was poor, lowest attendance so far this season btw, the food situation not helping, and some possibly still reluctant to attend due to covid.
One of the biggest challenges the Club faces in the future is improving the attendance of football fans from the Rushden/Higham/Irthlingborough area which was the case at RDFC once the novelty of Nene Park wore off and performances on the green stuff declined.
