An end to end match which could’ve certainly gone either way I’d say. The slow start was our downfall in the end really. It was an open game particularly in the second half with both sides applying pressure and having opportunities, especially ourselves.
As usual we were far better when we put the ball on the ground as opposed to the long ball business. Gyasi would’ve torn them apart on that right side had he started against their fragile defence. We created enough chances throughout the match to win 2/3 games which is a good sign but unfortunately the lack of cutting edge in front of goal really cost us.
Don’t get me wrong, on the whole I was pleased with the performance yesterday, we competed very well and did everything but score. Collard undoubtedly MOTM. But it’s so frustrating when you’ve got your best striker sitting on the bench, even when you’re losing with around 20 minutes to go. I’m sorry, I just don’t get it.
We are going to lose Lorrell Smith if we’re not careful, he will eventually get fed up. There’s no way on earth he should be a substitute, it’s laughable. Taking Wreh off instead of Lorraine (who looked to be struggling a bit with his leg) quite frankly took some believing.

It seems to be a trait of peaksys, to leave new players on the bench game after game then bring them in. Ben acquaye played about 10 minutes in his first 8 games and Jesse akubuine didn't really appear until about 10 games in. But I know what your saying, if your not playing at this level then you don't stick around long. In sure he'll be in the starting line up again soonEaston Diamond wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2020 4:57 pm An end to end match which could’ve certainly gone either way I’d say. Smith is not fully fit and needs to be nurtured. At the moment he is happy to get 20 mins, but of course would prefer to be fully fit and start.
