Interesting thought by Chris on radio wobbs, hoping we finish 4th/5th because we are better side away from home. Not bad thought to be fair!

yeh i was thinking that .....is a fair comment

Absolutely fantastic. Once we went 1-0 up the party started, Ebbsfleet will go down and I'm not surprised, they looked crap. Aaron took his goals fantastically and the atmosphere was great. Must be 7 years since we've sung 'We are going up' in April. Oh and the horse I backed won the National! Such a good day, the sun is still shining and I wouldn't put it past us winning the whoooooole damn thing! :D :D
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Just got back - Solid performance IMO - AZ didn't stop running, defended well and pretty much ran his socks off, a great and well deserved Man of the Match Performance. Credit where Credit's due, I've slated him a bit recently but big cliff, held the ball up brilliantly and headed balls out wide to smith and Az on several occasions, so well done to him. Smith was so unlucky today he was being manhandled 24/7 out there and that once again was some of the poorest officiating I've seen since the last ref, just let nothing go and was unable to spot simple decisions. I'm Really glad Az grabbed those goals cause at one point, it looked like we wouldn't get many counters going because the lino or ref would stop them in there tracks. Defence and Midfield...Solid as usual and a special mention to Terry for one of the worst penalties ever! (we'll let him off though ;)) Dale to take the next one please! Great game great atmosphere and great to here the De Banke Loud and Proud, Roll On Next Week!

Not a great game in all honesty. Too much hoofing in the first half especially by Stuart who had one of his poorer games. Farrell did well to win so many in the air but why hoof when you have O'Connor in the side ? When we played the ball on the ground we scored. Ebbsfleet did ok without really threatening apart from a free kick which was hit straight at Dale.

Big improvement in the second half although Ebbsfleet went off the boil - a double substitution after 5 minutes did not work at all for them. Cliff and Sam both did very well and we should have scored more than one more. How did Byrne miss that header ? His effort was even worse than his attempt against Stevenage. Great run from Az and a perfect finish - my opinion of him as a goalscorer has gone up after this game. One comedy error from our defence should have been punished but a good save from Dale followed by a shot against the post when it was easier to score demostrated why the Fleet are second from bottom.

We did enough to win but must do better if we are to succeed in the playoffs. Attendance was rather disappointing.

We DO need to do better if we are to succeed in the playoffs, there was the fluff from Terry (i am still trying to get over that) and then the one from Downer (i can forgive that one a bit more than the Terry fluff cos its not often he makes that kind of mistake whereas Terry has fluffed penalties before)...saying that our defence is one of the best in this league...But it has got to be more polished than we have been we couldve been top of this league by a mile by now if we were a club that could train together every day imo.....maybe JE can arrange something so that the players can come in more, who knows? .....if we want it, its there to take...but we really need to bring something more to the table in reality....im not even trying to piss on our parade right now, im just trying to be realistic..the lads have done fantastic this year, and i would love to see the same team next season... :?

Considering you were not at the match, I don't know how you can be in a position to judge Downer or Terry today. Apart from the penalty, Terry was once again controlling the midfield.

Being all to the forum, I am shocked. So here we are just qualified for play-offs, drastically improved on pre-season expectations, and there is still disgruntled 'fans'. What do we have to do to get some positivity into some people. Win 8-0? I would love to see some of the people on this messageboard the last 3 seasons!
