Quite a few old AFCRD players involved with Melton - Tom Manship and Jon Stevenson (joint managers), Edi Appleton (captain) and Robbie Parsons (A1 diver).

I'm not there, but I'm told it's James Hall, ex Scum, St Ives, St Neots, Cambridge City. Striker, decent scoring record.
Loose lips sinks ships DA. Would be a useful addition though if correct, he’s a 20 goal a season player.

I thought last night was a better workout than Friday which is not what I was expecting. Perhaps more competitive than it might have been given Robbie Parsons was as irritating as ever and some of his teammates seemed equally as fired up. I think their striker Michael Reeve was unofficially sent off in the first half for swearing at the ref repeatedly, although he was allowed back on in the second half.
James Hall's goal record speaks for itself and he'd naturally be a good addition, but with 6 strikers now seemingly vying for 2 places you have to think we'll see at least 1 move on. We did actually play a 4-3-3 formation yesterday although that was perhaps as a result of Richards or Reynolds not being there for whatever reason so we didn't have any natural wide players involved at all.
As for Melton, clearly someone's putting some money in to the playing squad but they're going to need to do something with the ground if they're going to progress as I can only think of a handful more basic than that.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....
