Disappointed as for me that was 2 points dropped. Rovers are a decent side but very one dimensional, even have the grass at egg chasing length to suit. No problem with that, prepare your pitch to suit your game, but when you are at home it's 1-1 with 2 mins left & you get a free kick 40 yards out and your own player kicks the ball away to waste time, that's just bo..ocks.
Foolish of us to leave The Flamingo free on his left peg a foot out, we all know how deadly he is from that range.
Onwards & upwards, FA Cup next week get through that, have some of the injured back in action & getting some game time.
Some good results for us today, guess we would all have taken 10 points + 11 goals & top of the league after 4 games.
All the best to the holiday gang, I would say don't do anything silly, but that would be a waste of breath.
We were the better side yesterday. I had expected that Kempston would be an entirely different proposition from what we had faced previously but i'm not sure I expected them to be quite so defensive and physical. We dominated possession but ultimately didn't create enough chances to justify picking up 3 points. On the one occasion we did properly test their goalkeeper he was found wanting.
Their number 5 was outstanding and so commanding in the air. Unfortunately we played right in to his hands constantly.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....
A great performance from the lads, it's a shame we didn't get the 3 points we deserved, we need to kick on from that. At least we've top of the league.
