Farewell Dog & Duck

Post by Three of Diamonds »

As I sit here watching the final part of the Airwair Stand being demolished I'd like to say a fond farewell to the Dog n Duck. It's been a lovely journey together and I wish Wellingborough Town all the very best for the future.

The volunteers from both clubs have done an incredible job turning the Dog & Duck in to the facility it's become. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching football there over the past 5 years and will be sorry from a personal point of view that it can't continue. I sincerely hope that we can have a similar impact on Hayden Road.

I've been mega busy this week with work and stuff and am even working tomorrow, fingers crossed I'll get over for the second half at the very least.

But I have to say I will be quite sad to leave the Dog and Duck, I've grown quite an affection for the old place and I will miss it.

I too would like to wish WTFC all the best for the future.

Onwards and upwards - tomorrow I hope we sign off with a win and secure our play off space into the bargain.

Will miss the place, so many great memories over the last 5 years, best of luck to Wellingborough Town.

But we will build new memories at Hayden Road, not quite sure what I'll do with my Saturday afternoons until the season starts again though!!
