Great result, but easily could have been 8 or 9, if we had taken more of our chances!

Olly Brown Hill had his best game for us since joining, deserved man of the match, goal of the season contender from Quigley? I think so!

Loved it. Ran on the pitch, smashed it home.

A much needed win, albeit probably the easiest 3 points all season

Was quiet sad to see how far they have fallen and credit to their fans who travelled, can anyone explain whats happening with them and 1874 Northwich. there must be split loyalties somewhere

A large proportion of Vic's fans were unhappy with the way that their owner Jim Rushe was running the club so broke away about 5 years ago and formed 1874 Northwich FC who are thriving as a fan owned club, like us, at Step 5. Northwich Vics fan base has got smaller and smaller and Jim Rushe is currently in prison on drugs related charges, and his son has been trying to pass the club to a 'Fans Association' which is effectively two people which seems to have gone quiet lately. If the Vics survive, they are currently in adminstration, then they will probably be playing at Step 5 next season at the new venue (still to be announced) as their groundshare arrangement at Witton is not being renewed.

A good summing up of the Vic's problems written last April.

At last, a comfortable home win, they were awful, probably the worst team in the league. Good for the goal difference, but, we won't get to play any other teams as easy to beat as these.
3 points, play-offs looking likely, and some confidence restored.

12-1 wouldn't have flattered us, they were truly awful!

If any of their team deserved a goal it was their number 9, who seemed to cover most of the pitch for them. Whether that's because his positioning was awful or he was trying hard it was hard to tell really.

Much tougher tests ahead in the coming weeks. Good to get some goals to entertain the decent size crowd. Dan Quigley'ss being the pick of the bunch! (with his first touch)

On a side note, having not been to the D&D for a while the pitch looked excellent for this time of year and with the new barriers all the way round and what seemed to be an increase of sponsorship boards around the ground it did look like a cracking little set up! So credit to those who over the past years have improved the ground immensely .It should give us optimism about what can be achieved when it comes to transforming Hayden Road into our new "home".
