Great result today, especially with Newcastle, Spalding and Basford all winning. Are Witton and Shaw lane beginning to feel the pressure.
Leek can do us and themselves a favour by getting results against Witton and Spalding in the next week.
I did not expect that line up today. Brown in Central defence and Bunts return from injury!!. Where were Quigley and OBH today, neither even on the bench.
I guess that Jamie Tank has joined the "elusive Lynton Da Costa club."

Massive result today, especially considering Spalding, Basford and Newcastle all won their respective games.
Only criticism I can give the team is that our passing & Ben's distribution at times today was poor, but credit to him he made a fantastic save in the second half to keep us in the game at 1-1.

I was told today that he still has 'personal issues' as Bozzer advised in another thread.sussexdiamond wrote:

Close fought win against a physically strong side, massive 3 points.
It was a tough game today, not much space allowed and a difficult swirling wind, I'm delighted we got the win. A little bit of quality from Nabs unlocking their defense.
I thought Liam and Sam were exceptional today, up against two big, strong and awkward lumps !!
Lots of twists and turns to go as today's results showed - Rugby??!!! Who saw that coming??

I just knew it, the match I was looking forward to, stuck at work and then it was too late to get there. It had to be a home win. Good 3 points keeps us firmly in the play-off places and it sounds as though we played well.

Great result today against a physical team and in difficult conditions at time with the wind. Well taken winner and assist from Shariff. Brown battled well in an unfamiliar position and I thought Dolman was immense. I thought the ref had a good game too overall. Nicely set up and we ought now to be able to go on and make the play-offs.
Surely we have a keeper's shirt that wouldn't have made it look like they had 12!

If Shaw Lane were to lose all their remaining games they would still make the play offs in 5th place!!!

We played well yesterday and thoroughly deserved the win, I didn't think much to leek at all but that may be as much down to us as them.
No surprise to me that Nabil's return to form has coincided with his return to his favoured position, he took his goal very well and played well throughout. I wasn't surprised by Sam's performance at cb as he's just a very good footballer that seems to take most things in his stride. Bunts surprised me with his performance though given his recent injury the fact he did 90 and played well is a good sign, having said that it's much easier in there when you have a partner playing as well as Ben Farrell did yesterday.
Another positive is the return of Shawn, even though he wasn't at his best yesterday his ability to run a long way with the ball and take the pressure off is something we've been missing all season.
