We did a great job in the first half, but it got a little sloppy in the second but still looked dangerous going forward. Something to build on, I hope young Callum is ok.
Yea I'd go with that, his first goal was a cracking volley so early on and he took the second one well also. Thought Ben farrell had his best home game for the club, with other solid performance's from Bunting and Dolman. We were probably made to look a decent side against weak opposition but we need to perform more like this on a regular basis. Again, hope that young Westwood isn't too badly injured but never good when a lot, Ayer is stretchered off. The right back position seems to be cursed this season, fortunately mcnulty seems to be getting better whenever called upon.

Callum Westwood tweeted hopefully to be back soon. So maybe injury not as bad as we thought.

Someone said he was at the game just after halftime (on a crutches) and thought he had sustained a cut. He looked very useful so we are hoping for a quick return.

So yesterday we tried the new Pitchero Play system which has been introduced by the league, not bad for a first start although we need to refine how it all works. Pitchero are planning a team highlights package for monday so we will see how that turns out, in the meantime i have put together our usual one.

Away games are different as it is the home club who will film it and we will get the footage later on, we will also have to look at a couple of options for managers and players interviews, one may be audioboom instead of video.

Are we obliged to use Pitchero by the League? What is wrong with the current model?
Does it make life easier for you recording and editing?

Will the highlights still be the same length. I watched the NPL highlights this week and you get about 20 seconds of each club and no sound. Will we still get a smiling Peaksy after each game giving his interview.?

Yes it is a league rule, yes it is easier for editing particularly if they do the editing.

Maybe we will see smiling peaksy at home and only hear from him away

A real shame if our match highlights with commentary video doesn't continue. There is only us and Spalding in the NPL1S who produce a highlights video and Spalding only cover home matches without commentary or post-match interviews.

The highlights will continue, pitchero have said they will produce the highlights so we shall see how they come out.
Unfortunately adding the commentary will be difficult for two reasons a) pitchero won't add commentary and b) Peter who has done a great job for us with the commentary is moving abroad.

I welcome the leagues initiative, there were highlights from a few npl games yesterday, although some of the camera work was a little iffy (see Newcastle v Sheffield)

Essentially the editing is done whilst filming which saves me a huge amount of time too.

With Pete unfortunately no longer available, is it possible to add the Radio Diamonds commentary to the highlights? I recall this being done for the first ever game, and thought it worked really well.

That would sound really good, however the logistics are as follows, the game has already been edited into 20 second segments. These would need to be downloaded and imported into the video software. The commentary would need to be recorded and provided for import into the video software.
It would then require someone to listen through and match up the exact 20 seconds of video with the 20 seconds of audio. Then you have to add all the graphics and interviews and upload it to YouTube.

If someone would like to step forward and do that job after every game that would be great but unfortunately that won't be me.
