Dog And Duck

Post by DiamondFox »

I felt I had to post.

It seems that Wellingborough getting another 12 months at the Dog And Duck is looking more like
fact than fiction, there even on the 2018 UCL groundhop, its even been talked about
openly by groundhoppers.

What about us? Were on our way:

http://nonleaguematters.co.uk/forum/gfo ... 832#762832
http://nonleaguematters.co.uk/forum/gfo ... 075#766075

Why can we not agree a deal with the landlord as well? Whats this about:

"And here's me thinking Ozdogan couldn't stand the 'arrogant' Diamonds."

If the landlord feels this way about us and it is through dealing with our board and if it is the real reason
we end up leaving Wellingborough those responsible should probably step down. If we end up at Corby or wherever for
a long time it could be the death of us. If true what is stopping the same thing with a new landlord?

Jan 25th may be too late.

Lets just wait and see what is said on the 25th Jan, shall we?

It's all hearsay at this moment in time, the 'groundhoppers' don't have a source to back up their claims, other than what we already know ourselves. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Worth remembering we have one side of the story here, and we barely have that. It is however deeply concerning and confusing.

A relative of mine who does a bit of work for WTFC mentioned to me a month or two ago that WTFC were extremely confident of remaining at the Dog & Duck not just for next season, but for the forseeable future also. I'd heard (can't recall if it was just hearsay or something a bit more concrete) that Diamonds remaining at the Dog & Duck was pretty much out of the equasion. It didn't make sense to me at the time, sadly, I think it does now.

What makes you think some random groundhoppers have all the information and not just speculating? lets try maybe supporting the board and see what options we have January 25th.

Some on those that claim to be in "the know" at Welly are claiming that they have sponsorship lined up that will allow them to stay at the D&D for another season so they celebrate their 150th anniversary.

That they thonl 32004 to 1026 is 150 years tells you all you need to know.

Its some kind of one-upmanship some people enjoy. They just have to let everyone know they are privy to inside information.

Have any dismissing this out of hand spoken to anyone at Wellingborough like these groundhoppers?

Hopefully if anyone has made the landlord think were arrogant they will have the decency to come clean and resign and not sweep it under the carpet like diamondgeezer and sandringhamdiamond seem to want

I'm sure all will come clear on the 25th, I don't think anyone wants to sweep anything under the carpet, just wait for the correct time. Until then I'm sure there will be lots of people "in the know" - there always is!

If people have any questions they will have the chance to raise them at the meeting, providing they are a member of course. Even if they aren't a member, they can always ask a member to raise it for them!

The obvious risk to our future is evident to all, i hope we get a good turnout to listen to the options and the reasons we have been asked to leave.

With some people on this thread clambering for Board members to step down I can't wait to see the queue of people putting their names forward to stand for the Board at this year's AGM, it'll be a really exciting election :good:

With just 2 posts and 2 calls for Board members to stand down I presume your application is penned already diamondsfox :cheesy:

He'll still get 100% of his rent, but just from WTFC who will have to find the lot. Ultimately it will lead to their demise and then he'll do whatever his long term plan with the land is! He probably sees it as a retail park, hopefully the Environmental Agency will scupper those plans and he'll rue the day he killed the golden goose!

If WTFC can keep going it'll be a miracle, but that's their concern, good luck to them if they can. 100% of the running costs of the D&D will be theirs - the maths of it all probably hasn't filtered through yet
