Stamford took a thumping last evening, although it would appear they had a weakened side probably as a result of player non-availablity due to working commitments, and difficulties getting to Stocksbridge. Jordan Smith has recently returned to them after his very short stay at Corby Town and we must ensure that we don't drop points as this will, to some extent, undo some of the good work last evening.
Let's hope there is also a bumper crowd at the Dog & Duck.

Following your prediction of a 3-0 loss at Shaw Lane would you care to cast a prediction for this one?
Haha- forgot about that prediction.
Shall we say a 7-2 win for Rushden. With a Brad Harris hatrick (coming off the bench in 71st minute), and 4 from Jake 2 with his right foot, and 2 with his head. The 2 Stamford goals will come in the form of 2 Jacko headed own goals on his return from injury.
The Diamonds versus The Daniels on Boxing Day. Awesome.
They are one of our "old time" rivals, we had some great battles against them in years gone by.
Come on you Diamonds, let's get that home form rockin' & rollin'

AFC Rushden and Diamonds have never played Stamford. This will be our first competitive meeting with them, although several players have moved between each club and of course they have that nice Mr Drury as manager, who was manager at Spalding when they won the UCL.

Indeed, although the pre-season friendly against the Daniels three years ago was a very entertaining match. Fazel Koriya was, in a second half spell for about 20 minutes, unplayable tearing apart the home side, which contained Andy Burgess, Jon Challinor, Tom Liversedge and Shawn Richards, at will.
