I would be a lot happier if we signed a decent central midfielder, even if it is only on loan until Oulton, Curtis and Bunting are fit again.

You beat me to it ! Whilst the players we've signed are needed and much welcome, with the lads we have missing we're lacking in that midfield area - kind of making do and mending at the moment.
This is a competition I'd like to see us progress in, we have a chance today but Histon will see our injury crisis as their chance !!
Looking forward to my first game for a while, hoping for a good performance and result !!

Unfortunately we have some very average players at the minute and are very boring to watch. No excitement going forward at all.

First half looked like it was to going to be a good response after last Saturday, created chances and played some good football at times. As usual, we dropped off in the second half and allowed Histon to get into the game and get the goal. Frustrating to watch at times but also some good football being played. We now have 4 Tuesday night games in the next month and hopefully we can progress in the Trophy on Tuesday.

Not sure how long our injury crisis can be given as an excuse.
The back four looked very secure but were badly let gown by the front six, very poor display with a lack of desire, belief or passion, with all the injuries we have only Oulton would fit into the front six, which in my own opinion shows our weaknesses.
With Oulton being out till Christmas we desperately need some experienced creativity.

It doesn't get any better does it. Laughable result in what was a worryingly close-fought contest. Histon have got 1 point and have scored just 3 goals in 9 league games this season. That team we had on the pitch should have blasted them into the middle of next week. Several of their players looked like they might have needed their parents permission to play.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Football is a game of opinions. Personally I enjoyed the game, on another day we could have got a result. Histon were nothing special, to be honest.
Defence was solid, Jason Lee made a welcome return, IMO. Brownie had a good game too.
Taylor ran non stop, was man of the match for me.
I do think we are short of a few quality players in midfield at present though. We desperately need someone to feed Nabil, which isn't happening right now.

Is it a fact that " Oulton is out till Christmas" If that is the case then we wont win anymore games this year!!!
