Re: [ Tue 13th Nov ] v Hitchin Town, KO 7:45pm ESCP HOME

I couldn't believe it when I saw the same starting XI from Saturday had been picked again, however the intensity that was totally absent on Saturday was there in abundance last night. It looked like they'd had a rocket to be honest. Added to this we played football on the ground and Ben Diamond was ...

Re: [ Sat 10th Nov ] v Witton Albion, KO 3pm FAT2RQ AWAY

In all seriousness that was the most gutless, inept and tactically clueless display from us in recent memory, against a team playing without a recognised striker for almost the entire second half. Even those that we can usually rely on to put a shift in looked half-arsed today. There was literally n...

That was so bad even Ernie Tippett wouldn’t have found any positives.

Re: [ Tue 6th Nov ] v Northampton ON Chenecks, KO 7:45pm NFAHSC HOME

It was a decent enough game to watch last night although i'm not sure it should have been quite as close as it was. Was that a Ben Diamond goal barely 5 minutes after he was moved in to a central position? :hmmm: We're through which is the main thing and with other results in the competition so far ...

Re: [ Sat 3rd Nov ] v Rushall Olympic, KO 3pm ESCP HOME

First time we've lost a League game by more than one goal since a home defeat to Stocksbridge Park Steels on 11th April 2017. If Jack Ashton's header early on goes in instead of hitting the post it could have been a very different scoreline. As it was we were soundly beaten in the end and can't real...

Re: Former Players

Ty Ward, who couldn’t get in the squad for us, has started both games since signing for Conference South side Hemel Hempstead Town.

Following today’s heavy rain, this game has been postponed.
Maybe this puts Saturday's fixture in doubt then?
Would imagine it’s about protecting the pitch. No point having an U18 game on a sodden pitch, cutting it up and potentially causing problems going forward.

Re: [ HISTORY - The Old Stand (from pitchside), Hayden Road 1922 v 2018]

I also saw on Twitter that the changing rooms have to be a certain size. It sounds pathetic, but does Hayden Road's meet the required size? 18 square metres is the requirement for home and away changing rooms which is slightly larger than the existing rooms at the ground. I couldn't believe this wh...

Re: FA Trophy draw

On the face of it it’s not a great draw, a bit of a hike and a place we’ve already been to three times. Having said that, the tie looks winnable which I guess is the main thing.
