Youth Teams

Post by garya2414 »

A lad I know went in for his usual night of training for the R&D youth set-up tonight and all of the youth levels were pulled together and told the club will not be requiring them anymore because there isn't any money and the club are likely to fold!

I am shocked by this, can anyone else confirm this?

Is this Centre of Excellence or the development/advanced centres?

If this is true, then the Beasants have almost finished ripping the heart and soul out of this club

I could be wrong here, but with the sales of Tomlin, Bell, Jackson, Cowan-Hall etc is the youth system not more than paying for itself?

Absolute shocker if this is true. Well nothing shocks me anymore with this club, but this is a major major blow.

We need to get these goons out of Nene Park NOW!

Just come back from Raunds where the centre of excellence trains. Our boys have been told that training has been cancelled ( we had two weeks left ) and that the remaining games have been cancelled. If our boys can find other clubs to take them on then they wish our boys all the best. So what we've read into this is that the future for the under 16s,15s,14s,13s,12s,11s etc is very bleak.Understandably our boys are devasted. To watch the boys crying was heart breaking and It is unforgivable for the people responsible for this situation they should be ashamed of themselves (we all know who I mean) the boys are so loyal and love the club and they are very close as teams. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Both Mark Starmer and all of the coaching staff for the total dedication given to our boys as they have been coaching our lads without pay since January. This just seems another nail in the coffin !
