Re: [ Sat 13th Aug ] v Newcastle Town, KO 3pm NPL1S AWAY
I'm so looking forward to next Saturday - I'm sure you all are too!
I have zero expectations this year, I don't have a clue about the sides we'll be competing against or of the league in general, and I can't be bothered to do the research, I'm just going to go with the flow and take it as it comes. Looking forward to visiting lots of new grounds and sampling their hospitality - I'm on the coach next week so I may sampling more than I should
Good luck to Peaksy and the lads as the season draws ever closer, just do your best, put in the effort and we'll be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.
I can't/won't predict where we'll finish at the end of the season - I honestly haven't got a clue! Just looking forward to seeing some football again and hopefully being competitive!
Let's be "at it" from the off and travel back with 3 lovely new crisp points to start our season off with a smile!
Bring it on !!

So let's try and guess the starting XI, I've no idea who's fit, who's not and what formation we'll play so I'm going for this;-
.....................................Finners
Bradshaw..........Dolman..................Ashton..............Brown
Orosz.................Harris................Oulton..............Evangelinos
......................Shariff..................Newman
Subs;- Leslie, Vitue, Parsons, Jackson, Lorraine

With the current fit squad, I would go with:
Finlay, Bradshaw, Dolman, Ashton, Brown, Bunts, Harris, Oulton, Shariff, Evangelinos and Newman. 4-3-3. Vitue, Leslie, Parsons, Jackson and Lorraine on the bench.

Like to see parsons have a start, bit of unknown quantity running at them with his pace and skill. Is Oulton a centre mid then?

I was a bit worried a week or so ago but believe we now have a strong squad with cover in all positions. Peaks has recruited well acquiring players with experience of this league as well as younger players from UCL .
GK : Findlay............... Vitue
Defence: Bradshaw, Dolman, Ashton, Brown.......................Jackson, McNulty
Midfield: Bunting, Oulton, Leslie, ................Harris, Harvey, Curtis (when fit) Manship (whats happened to him?)
Forwards: Newman, Shariff, .................Lorraine, Orocz, Evangelinos, Parsons,
Several of those eg Harris and Lorraine can be deployed in more than one position.
We also have a few who have hardly featured in pre season, Bahrey, Stevenson, Ackroyd, Hipwell (Dual reg Wisbech?)

Not taken in any of the preseason games, but heading up for this one! Wouldn't want to miss the first game of the season.
Not sure what to expect result wise, just hoping for a half decent performance, some sunshine and plenty of beer!
