Last year there were 5 teams who finished runners up, who also got promoted with the champions.
There were. Champions in brackets
(Peacehaven & T) Redhill, Sussex County league.
(Dunstable town) Aylesbury United, Spartan South Midlands.
(Erith & Bel) VCD Athletic, Southern Counties league.
(Burnham Ramblers) Barkingside, Essex Senior league.
(Egham) Guernsey, Combined Counties league.
Hope that means we'll get promoted if we finish 2nd.
Top 2 interesting
Re: Top 2 interesting
Last season was a special case, as they were expanding Step 4. Only the 6 bottom placed teams at Step 4 were to be relegated, with plans to promote up to 14 from Step 5 - and these were to be "selected from the following Step 5 leagues based on a points gained per game played basis: Combined Counties League, Eastern Counties League, Essex Senior League, Kent League, Spartan South Midlands League, Sussex County League and Wessex League." - http://www.thefa.com/~/media/Files/TheF ... ystem.ashx
That's not the case this season - but the FA haven't published the exact rules....
