A good workout for the team today against an evenly matched opponent. Always good to score a few goals, from new and old players and great to see the experience of Lorraine back, causing the defence problems as usual. Kerins looked exactly what he's brought in for to add assurance at the back, Thomas looks like he will only get better and agemoh-davies looks more suited to an advanced position. Only down points were harriman, dean and Jones all leaving the field due to injuries

Good 3 -2 win against a league from an equivalent league, their 2 nd goal was rather a fluke and against the rum of play, we looked sharp up front today. When we started i thought they would out muscle us but we copped well, good 3-2 win

Jones left after an off the ball elbow from the Leighton centre back to the back of the head, looked precaution sub as it was a hefty whack!

Harriman I think got studs to the inside thigh painful.TheIncognitoKid wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 4:15 pm A good workout for the team today against an evenly matched opponent. Their 2nd well..the wind blew the cross in to the net
Thought we’re looked excellent. A team like we had 2 years ago tbf. Johnston looks like he will nick loads of goals , just has the talent to find the net. Kerins looks a proper rwb. If we can get this attack working even more then it will be a exciting season. Kerins Massingham Harriman Purse Briggs could be the best back line we’ve ever had .
Forgot we also have Hughes to come in , plus our 2nd choice goalie Saunt looks ok.

Best goal of the day was John Dean's. Everything about it was perfect, great speed to leave his marker standing, cut inside, beat defender and placed past the keeper with real venom. Great to have him back and hopefully fully fit. A completely different spirit in the team from that last season pre Nunn.
