Would Monday Night Fixtures Attract New Fans?

Post by Adrian »

Hitchin and Stourbridge seem to favour playing their midweek home games on Monday nights.

Is it something we have ever considered?

Would it bring in any new fans? or be an inconvenience to current fans?

Personally I'm not a fan of it as players get 24 hours less recovery time and if we were challenging at the top it would probably be a disadvantage, however their must be something that Hitchin find beneficial in it as they have been doing it for since we first got into this league.
  • Play it out from the back.
  • 1 up front.
  • Man gets one good result via a new manager bounce and thinks he's Pep Guardiola.

Could be dictated by manager or player availability? But I do agree that it's a possibility worth exploring, especially in the second half of the season with frequent clashes with mid-week Champions League matches.
