Dunham Uninspired With Poppies Signings

Post by Adrian »

There was a shock in non league circles yesterday as popular local sports reporter Jon Dunham appeared to echo the sentiments of many K*ttering Town fans by seemingly being uninspired by the clubs latest four signings.

Dunham announced the signings in his latest Northamptonshire Telegraph article and had just one word to say of the quartet:
"ghghghgh"

A Poppies Fan Club representative said:
"We looked at the comments from Jon and believe that 'ghghghgh' is supposed to be 'gh gh gh gh' and Jon was so uninspired that he couldn't bring himself to press the space button."

On the meaning of 'gh' the source added:
"it clearly means 'good heavens' and we are totally with Jon on that."

We spoke to a a club non-official who said:
"It's the first time Jon has revealed his support and affection towards a local club, we are delighted with that and fully believe that he has been miss quoted and 'gh' actually means 'got hope' as our season ticket selling moto will be 'got hope for survival'."

The Poppies new signings are: Andre Wright, Brad Gascoigne, Cameron Gregory and Neo Richard-Noel.

 I do hope nobody is offended by a little light heartedness.
  • Play it out from the back.
  • 1 up front.
  • Man gets one good result via a new manager bounce and thinks he's Pep Guardiola.

Jon won't mind, he likes banter and he casts his eye on here regularly so it will alert him to the fact he forgot to delete his draft on the ET site so that he can fix it.

He also tweeted early on Friday about his expectations for the Diamonds signings after seeing the pre-announcement hype from our Social Media team - "Looks like a busy day incoming for Diamonds, I’ll have to catch up tomorrow."

He'll find there is less to do that he thought.....
