Burgess seems very positive that he has replacements lined up. At this stage of the close season it will always be about departures. Snedker and Casey probably next. .

Whilst the loss of Bully this summer felt inevitable to some degree, losing Collard is a bit of an "oh s**t" moment. I predicted at the end of last season that we may not recognise too many of the lads that line up for us in August and that's looking more and more likely.

I'm sure Burgess will have players lined up and probably has a plan in place for this eventuality. I'm sure we can find a replacement of Alex's ability, but what would be hard to replace is the leadership qualities and the way he was clearly viewed by fans and teammates alike. This one is a big blow.

His best friend is Jack Westbrook so I think there's a chance he ends up at Hemel Hempstead.

Lost arguably our two best defenders within a week, to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Could be a new look defence for the forthcoming season.

No great surprise, he's a class player and can command a good wage elsewhere.

Probably going to lose Snedker and Casey as well. So plenty of rebuilding to do.

Tamworth are finally making their player announcements today, about a week late presume some hadn’t finalised arrangements, guess some familiar faces will be appearing there.

Any of "our" players you would hope have the courtesy to inform Burgess but expect at least two and probably more later. Pretty sure Bully will be amongst them and also an addition to their coaching team. Tamworth the new Banbury. 🤔
