Apparently Westley was allowed to write his own leaving statement which appeared on the RDFC official website. There were allegedly other reasons that were mentioned by those ‘in the know’ that concerned players welfare.

Nevertheless football management was purely a hobby for him as he benefited to the tune of many millions from the sale of the family cleaning/facilities management business.

"The club have decided that performances and squad selection do not fit with its long term plan."
AKA "The results improved massively under Westley. The chairman couldn't let that happen, so we've parted ways with him"

The players selected was obviously working hence the 7 game unbeaten run we went on, so that was a bizarre statement.
