Like you said only saving grace is they are struggling in the league this year. Perhaps nick a draw and bring them back to Hayden Road for a Tuesday night replay.

On the face of it it’s not a great draw, a bit of a hike and a place we’ve already been to three times. Having said that, the tie looks winnable which I guess is the main thing.

They were just setting up those marathon roadworks on the M6 when we made one of our visits to that area, and they are still as frustrating. It wouldn't be as bad if the smart motorway improved things, but you've only got to look at the one in Northamptonshire to see the traffic flows no better than before, and the lane discipline is considerably worse. At least that section is now clear but there are schemes south of Northampton and around Coventry that will affect many travellers.

The Kidsgrove v Yaxley game last Saturday was postponed due to possibility of Kidsgrove playing an ineligible player. If guilty Wisbech would probably be reinstated. Of the 72 teams in second qualifying round 49 will be Step 3 and 23 Step 4.

Update; Kidsgrove expelled. Wisbech reinstated.
