Judging by that, the previous two games between the sides weren't as memorable to Uxbridge as they were to the Diamonds, with the late goals producing such good and bad memories. I recall the celebrations after the game at the D&D rivalled those of Moneyfields last weekend.

Anyone driving today give yourself an extra few minutes, 82,000 egg chasers congregating 13 miles down the road.

Good solid victory on the road today, without us really getting out of third gear. We pretty much out classed them in every department and and a dream start when they're goalie dropped a proper howler between his legs from Robbins header. Nice to see Tom Lorraine answer his critics with two fine strikes, where as fairlamb and hoban caused problems all afternoon. Joe Curtis was motm for me today, picked up everything in the midfield, broke up the play and didn't misplace a pass. A number of players could also claim that award where Brown, punter and bunting also shone.

As mentioned above an excellent display against an Uxbridge side that posed a few problems offensively but really struggled defensively. It's not often you see teams at this level operate zonal marking from corners and we really punished them for it.
I've watched Tom Lorraine play a lot of football but his first half performance was as good as anything i've seen from him. Power, pace, finishing, a shame that he couldn't maintain that level in the second half but the job was done.
Lorraine, Brown, Fairlamb and Curtis were the pick of the bunch. Not so sure on Bunting, I thought he was wasteful in possession again personally. Hopefully Farrell's absence shouldn't be of concern and what is going on with Daryl Smith's availability?

Shame about Cambridge getting last minute penalty, we would have gone second. Nonetheless a good day for us and with Moneybags match being postponed, which also means their match scheduled for tomorrow night v Beaconsfield is off, it gives the chasing pack the chance to get closer to them.
Our match on 25th v Ashford is in doubt as they drew their Trophy game at home to Kingstonian.

Great to see Lorraine get his 1st league goals of the season and take him up to 60, with Nabs leaving on 40 Tom will remain top for some time to come!!

As peakys says, if he put all his chances away he'd be playing for someone else. He gives our team another edge, great running and strength on the ball.
