This will be our 250th senior game, so I'm hoping for a win to erase memories of that awful game against them at the Dog & Duck.

Market Drayton have won 5 of their last 6 home matches, so another tough afternoon is in store.

I notice Quigley's playing centre-back again today. Where the hell are all of our centre backs? We've got Bully, Jacko (injured), Winters (injured), Tank(not convinced he actually exists) and we've just registered Appleton and Purse.

2-0 down to two penalties, Westwood off for a straight red. At least the sun is out!

Lost 2-1.

Shaw Lane lost 3-1
Witton won 2-1
Spalding beat Leek 4-0
Lincoln beat Newcastle 2-1
Basford drew 2-2

Points dropped across most of the top 8

Witton Away Tuesday. What better way to make amends for today's loss.

Huge game now Tuesday night. (It was anyway)

I think Appleton and Purse are still registered elsewhere too, so I get the impression they are only likely to feature for us in the event that we make the playoffs and have a sudden injury crisis. Shame, as Quiggs was awful today.

No idea what's happened to Tank though; can only assume he is still struggling with the "personal issues" Peaksy alluded to in his post match interview a few weeks ago.

Whatever way you look at it that squad of players shouldn't be losing to Market Drayton. Having said that, you can't legislate for a refereeing performance like that which really swung the game in the home team's favour. I very rarely come on here and blame a ref for a defeat, and to blame it all on him would be a tad unfair, but he was certainly the major factor.

You also can't legislate for both of your strikers missing fairly routine one-on-one chances. Not knocking either lad as they're key players and I thought Jack Bowen was outstanding throughout the game (he literally won everything in the air), but you've got to take chances like that when they're presented to you.

Can't comment on the red card as I was following the ball.

Agree with davealbon that Quigley did not have a good game. I did wonder if the registrations in midweek were token, as has been the case with Purse in the past. What a shame we can't get Purse involved week in, week out. We could really do with someone as imposing as him.

Looks like the other results have been kind.

Having seen them at our place only a few weeks ago, I think we'd be tad optimistic thinking we could win this one. A draw is never out of the question however but it's a long way to go on a Tuesday night. Agreeing with you, after today's defeat this does become a huge game.
