I guess Andy has quite a headache ahead of tomorrow and our next couple of games. Who are going to be our back four tomorrow. Do we even have enough recognized fit defenders to play a "back four"?

It looks like Dolman and Ashton are injured and Winters still has one match suspension remaining.

So will Sam Brown and Jason Lee be available.? Will we sign someone today?

At least Finners should be ok to replace cup-tied Heath.

Possible line up : Finlay,Ben Ford,Kyle McNulty, Brad Harris and Tom Lorraine?

If Lewis Wilson is cup tied the remaining players almost pick themselves.

Evangelinos, Bunting, Leslie, Orocz, Newman and Sharif.

Could be lonely on the subs bench!!!

I can't understand having Sam Brown on the bench if he wasn't fit enough to take part in the game. Losing both central defenders but not bringing him on was very surprising.

I'm not sure that we would be strong enough with Harris & Lorraine as the centre-back pairing.

Will be very interesting what team he puts out.

Lincoln are bottom of the away form table so let's go 3 - 4 - 3 and see if we can blow them away early :hehe: . We won't need that many defenders that way.

Sam has, apparently, been suffering from blisters on his feet since March.

Back 4 is sorted
Gibbo, Peaksy, Lamby, Brownie (Senior)
The pitch has been narrowed so Biff will play just in front which should stop anything getting anywhere near the above.

That may be so, but to date only Harvey, Holmes and Ackroyd, has any experience at senior level. This game is too important to risk inexperienced players, Tuesday v Corby may be a better option.

I am not really convinced that having an Under 21 team is worth the money. Just who has come through in the past couple of years and how many injured players are using it to get back to fitness?

During pre-eason, Harvey looked like he would ready to step up to the first team but has only had the odd cameo roll on the bench. Tuesday v corby is a good opportunity to play a few but like you say, not many have come through or looked like becoming first team regulars

Tough team selection today, I don't think any of us can call it, if Liam and Jack are out we'll have to pray Jason and Sam are fit enough to muddle through!

Lincoln will see this as a great opportunity, in theory they should come at us, that could play into our hands a little - I'm really looking forward to the match, it's going to be intriguing seeing how Peaksy plays it and how it pans out.

Could be a trip to Lincoln in the offing on Tuesday! Whereas I was confident of a win, I'm not so much now with the injury crisis we've got. But as we've seen, at Spalding especially, this team has heart and desire in abundance and they'll do their best to overcome the problems.

Last Tuesday has to be put behind us, a big performance required today, I don't want to leave the Trophy with a whimper !!
